Even for a tea sandwich, this was extremely light. Not sure who Blanche was but she was not big on flavor. The tomato and too much black pepper plus ups helped but yeah. Not makin’ this again.

I mean, how bad could a toast ham and cheese sandwich be? Especially when butter was involved. The process of dipping bread into melted butter, then cheese was odd but in the end it was a tasty sandwich. I did feel it needed a little something to punch through the richness and pepproncini delivered.
Should you make it? Sure, why not?

Peanutbutter Dog (recent history)

This was a fun one. The Hotdog Safari which see local chefs and food vendors “plus up” the Peanutbutter Dog (Peanut butter, hot dog, and ketchup) in an attempt to be named “Best Hot Dog!” The events which originate in Worcester, Massachusetts, also now happen in Portland, Maine, Naples Florida, New Orleans, Lousisana, and Austin, Texas. All proceeds are donated to food banks in each of those cities. I opted to plus mine up two ways and I absolutely will be making the Banh Mi version again but even the based dog was tasty.
Should you make this? Absolutely!

Finnan Haddie Sandwich (1936)

I remember the first time reading the words “finnan haddie” and had to look it up. Turns out it’s smoked haddock that apparently you have to soak for a while to use (kinda like bacalao (salt cod)). But it was tasty and really enjoyed this sandwich (though I preferred it with the cheddar more). Plussed it up with a little J.O. Spice which like a more intense Old Bay. Worked great
Should you make this? Yes, if you can find the fish.

Halloween Sandwich (1936)

Admittedly, this Halloween Sandwich wasn’t anywhere near scary. It was a pimento cheese sandwich which is tasty on it’s own. But plussing up in the toaster oven brought even more flavor and texture to the party.
Should you make it? Meh, just make a regular pimento cheese sandwich

At first blush, this recipe felt like a hodge podge of leftovers. Velveeta, butter, hard boiled eggs, tuna, and olives? Yet it melted together wonderfully. Plussed it up with a little salt-free Cajun seasoning which added some nice complexity.
Should you make it? Yeah, it was tasty.

Bocadillo de Tortilla a la Francesa (España)

Yes, another bocadillo from Spain delivering the deliciousness. This time with ripe tomato, sea salt, olive oil, and eggs. It was tasty on it’s own and sure, I could’ve added some Manchego cheese but that two-minute aioli plus up really hit the spot.
Should you make it? Absolutely

In The Chips with Barry 🥔
Aaaand we’re back to a normal amount of potato chips per review. Although given how many chips keep showing up in my P.O. Box, probably gonna have to fire up the multi-review videos again.
Zapp’s Mesquite Bar-B-Que potato chips
Yes, back with another Zapp’s potato chip flavor. These Mesquite Bar-B-Que chips were nicely done and well balanced. Not mind-blowing but tasty.
Utz Lemonade potato chips
These were a pleasant surprise. Not too sweet, not too tart and nicely balanced such that you could taste the potato as well. I was not expecting that.
Ruffles Canada Sweet Korean Chili potato chips
I love the flavor of gochuchang. So, this was Ruffles to fumble. Yet they did not. Tasty, slightly sweet, and spicy. Wish they were sold here.
