Travel Note: New Orleans - Turkey and The Wolf

Yesterday we got the chance to eat at Turkey and The Wolf. If you’ve been following for a while you know that I am a big fan of this place. Ever since I made The Tomato from their cookbook I was hooked. I just couldn’t believe how delicious this seemingly simple sandwich was.
Well, yesterday we visited the restaurant and Mason rolled out the red carpet bringing us pretty much three of everything (photos and descriptions below. We also got to meet up with the talented and wonderful Chef Nini Nguyen (whom you might remember did a guest hosting gig like Mason earlier this year) and Richard Horner, the man behind the sadly now-closed Blue Giant here in New Orleans.
But me being me, I didn’t plan the shoot well and don’t think the video that will post later today will be as good as it could’ve been. Part of the reason for the poor planning is that I’m on vacation with Christine. So, even though we’re visiting a sandwich shop just about every day, I didn’t want to hijack the entire vacation. Oh well, guess we’ll just have to come back. Ok, on to the food.
